(1995 R&R Gold ) The first year of Gold and
we placed in the Top 5 in the nation and 2 of
our girls made the 2nd team allstar team .
How can anyone think they will be able to
play at the gold level or even College softball
by that matter, if they dont play fall ball or if
they don't practise . It will be hard to catch
up unless you swing the bat .A Good
example is , has your arm ever hurt at the
beginning of the year @ high school
practise? Thats what happens when you play
another sport , timing off cant see the ball
,its all relative to the point that everyone
needs to practice Throwing Catching and
especially hitting All year if they want it ,
College softball. Partime players have a hard
way to go
.
And make it hard on the team in fall.
Everyone needs to do their job , and they can
play 2 sports but need to practice both
sports .
Pitchers work hard and if the defense misses
a play or doesnt hit a pitcher can take the
loss on their shoulders . Its about  T E A M  .
Good teams wont put up with players that
dont work hard . Cuts will be made by
coaches that can believe they can find
someone else , and not worry about
a player who says they will be there and
dont make it . If  60 % of the team isnt  there
,   ( as I am laughing  ) there isnt a team
.When people dont believe in me anymore
and dont come to workout ,
Then I am wasting my time !  " And so is
everyone Else . " and life is short some of us
only have so long to live , and other things
more important to do.
Alyce Jorgensen and Chelsea
combined to achieve a 1 hitter in
the UOP fall Oct tournament. Great
first time out for the freshman.
Back two years ago I remember
Chelsea telling me after she went
down to Palm Spings to watch a
college tournament ," Owen I really
want to pitch College Softball! , and
I know I can throw as good as half
the pitchers I saw this weekend".
And now Chelsea lives her dream ,
and I'll always remember her words!
ASA COUNCIL FINAL ( Nov/ 17/ 05 )
Effective 2006 The Pitching distance for
ASA Gold is extended to 43 Feet the
sponsors said the chance would allow
pitchers to acclimate to the college
standard, and enable college coaches to
evaluate pitchers at the additional
distance. 18 a will be the same distance as
last year of 40 feet. So at last  where do
you want to play if you are going to play
college softball? ( THE GOLD DIVISION.)
Especially pitchers. Things are changing
fast so what if you play high school
softball ?
The transition to summer will be fun! So I
suggest to prepare ones self quickly and
you wont miss the boat.18 A softball is
now a thing of the past for Pitchers who
want to play college softball.18 A will soon
get weaker and 16 pitchers will be pitching
18 A.

the best softball years of my life!
There are a lot of young people who want to
become pitchers. And what kind of pitcher do
these people want to be? An average high
school pitcher that can keep a team in the game
, an 18a pitcher for a good team and maybe take
45th in Nationals,,,65 in Nationals 18and under
A. Or really want a chance to be one of the best
pitchers to pitch the 18and under Gold Division,
and to get a chance to pitch at Division 1 College
Softball. Well you may want to but it really takes
dedication , practice, and sacrifice.
You will need to practice 4 to 5 quality days a
week, and not tell your coach what he... wants to
hear ( Sure I'll be there!) and ya you show up
only once maybe twice a week well its not
enough.
Your coach wants you to have it, your mommy
wants you to have it, but you don't want it ( Bad
Enough), to play at Division 1 College Softball.
IF YOU WANT IT YOU CAN HAVE IT, IF YOU
DON'T WORK HARD ENOUGH , YOU REALLY
ARE WASTING YOUR TIME AND MINE!!!!!
A concerned mother will Always say..... She'll be
there the next time , and we are trying , but it
never really works out without having priority's.
Be a one sport player! Dedicate yourself to
becoming a pitcher, A REAL ONE. The Real Deal!
